Posted September 15, 2018 09:31:50 The National Council of Nursing Education (NCNE) has announced its 2018/19 National Nurses Education Week, which includes a series of lectures and a series on the roles of nurses and healthcare professionals.
The NCNE has launched its National Nursers Education Week program to celebrate the role nurses play in supporting our healthcare system.
“The National Nursies Education Week is a great opportunity to engage with students in the role of nurse and healthcare professional, as well as our society,” said NCNE Vice President for Nursing, Dr Lisa Jannet.
“Nursing is the health care profession’s second most-popular profession, with over 12 million nurses in Australia.”
“Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system, providing care to over 90 per cent of Australian adults and over 6 million people each year.”
They are also at the forefront of many research projects that benefit our nation’s healthcare system.””

She’s a proven leader who’s focused on the future of nursing education in our country and her passion for the profession shines through.
“Nurses, healthcare professionals, doctors and nurses, all have an important role to play in the healthcare delivery system.
The National Nurse Education Week lectures will be held on September 13 and 14 at the National Library of Victoria, including a lecture from National Nursing Australia President, Michelle Stokes.
The lecture will also be broadcast live on the ABC RN website on September 14.
Dr Stokes will also provide a talk on the role and role models of the nurse, including her role as a role model for all young nurses, and the importance of being active in our nursing communities.”
I know that you’re interested in learning about the role that nurses play as nurses, as healthcare professionals and as healthcare providers,” said Dr Stokes, who will be speaking on nursing education at the NCNE National Nurseries Education Week Lecture Series on September 12.”
